Right when the long-awaited weekend is just around the corner, we assemble and (of course) share several news that are on our minds and keep us on our toes.


In collaboration with British artist and musician Jerkcurb, WOOD WOOD is launching its SS22 collection, all inspired by the theme of the unknown. For the collection, Jerkcurb took inspiration from the 1851 Great Exhibition at the London’s Crystal Palace and designed cartoonish creatures wearing arresting yellow jacquard crewnecks and cardigans, immediately catching the viewer’s attention.

Generous workwear silhouettes reference archaeological attire: this includes updated iterations of the Bosco jacket with utilitarian pocket placements and the wide-leg Will trousers, which see double-layer constructed hammer pockets at the back as a reference to bouldering traditions. Technical twill fabric comprised of polyester and cotton, woven in Italy by Olmetex, makes an exciting entry. Organic cotton denim returns to the menswear collection in four distinct and well-considered washes: rinse, heavy wash, olive, and light sand – the rigid denim applies to a slim fit and regular version, developed to endure across seasons.
For women, an intricate woven jacquard with a pattern reminiscent of crop circles takes the form of the structural Rajna field shirt and complementary Iris mini skirt, while the belted, multi-pocket Rachel trousers come primed for excavation. Standout styles, the Avery polo dress and Clara polo feature chunky
guipure lace, where oversized floral motifs appear at once abstract and alluring: the central theme of the collection.

From 18th February, the WOOD WOOD Spring/Summer 2022 collection will be available at WOOD WOOD stores and woodwood.com.

HELEN KIRKUM X ASICS:  Crafts for Mind
Iconic sneaker brand ASICS has partnered with London-based artist and designer, HELEN KIRKUM to craft 30 pairs of GEL-1090TM sneakers to be released on NAKED CPH on February 25th, 2022. All proceeds from the crafted pairs will be donated to Right To Play, the global organisation that protects, educates and empowers children to rise above adversity using the power of sports and play. Kirkum is a pioneer of the deconstructed aesthetic within the sneaker industry and has redefined sneaker design by creating one of a kind, handmade sneakers from recycled materials. All the bespoke pairs have been handmade in-house at the Studio and each pair is unique with its own colour way.


Summer we are ready. And Ganni got our back. Brace yourselves for SS22, which features scrunchy details and puffy sleeves, shiny crushed grape skin… Detail is never-ending with this collection. And we can’t wait to have it all.
