Words by Ann-Kathrin Riedl, Photography by Eva Luise Hoppe Fräulein x WRSTBHVR x Esra Gülmen: Inside the Fräulein Issue #40 Dinner This week, we had a very special reason to celebrate: the launch of Fräulein Issue #40. A milestone like that deserves more than a quiet toast – so we celebrated it the best way we know how: with an intimate dinner, inspiring women, great food, and long conversations that stretched late into the evening. Hosted in our own art gallery and studio space, Schlachter151, the night brought together 25 guests who all, in one way or another, shape the world of Fräulein. Among them were our cover talent Anahita Sadighi, actresses Florence Kasumba and Luisa Gaffron, as well as DJs Clara Cuve and Salome Gvetadze. We were equally happy to welcome contributors to our anniversary issue, including curator Tjioe Hecken and writers Juliane Liebert and Juule Kay. It felt less like a formal event and more like a shared moment – a room full of women exchanging ideas, laughter, and perspectives across art, fashion, music, and culture. The evening was supported by WRSTBHVR, a Berlin-based brand with whom we share more than just mutual admiration. Since our publisher was recently announced as the brand’s new Creative Director, Fräulein and WRSTBHVR have officially become one family. Beyond that, we’re connected by a shared attitude: a belief in independent, creative women, and in the idea that intelligence, strength, sensuality, and joy in fashion are never contradictions. A true highlight of the night were the artworks by Esra Gülmen, whose work we also feature in the new issue. Known for her bold, text-based paintings and her fearless engagement with themes such as power, identity, feminism, and free thought, Esra’s work filled the gallery with both visual intensity and emotional weight. Her pieces created a strong bridge between magazine and space – and her moving speech on independent thinking added a depth that stayed with us long after dinner was over. Forty issues in, this evening felt like a pause to reflect and a moment to look forward. To new conversations, new collaborations, and many more nights like this. Here’s to the next 40!
