Words by Ann-Kathrin Riedl At Peace, Together: We Are Launching Our First Sound Bath For our latest issue, we asked a simple question that turned out to be anything but simple: What does it mean to be at peace? Words by Ann-Kathrin Riedl Not the polished version of peace. Not the one sold as productivity wrapped in self-care. But the quieter kind. The one that begins when you stop trying to become someone else and start making room for the person you already are. That idea became the heart of our current print issue, At Peace. And now, for the first time, it moves beyond the page. This month, Fräulein and Inan Batman come together to launch the first edition of Sound Bath – a new series of intimate gatherings designed to create space for stillness, conversation and connection among women. Held at ANTI, a wellness space tucked into a striking brutalist building in Berlin-Mitte, the evening is less about escaping reality than about arriving in it. With its minimalist architecture, movement studios, spa and communal atmosphere, ANTI feels like the perfect place to slow down together. If you’ve never experienced a sound bath before, think of it less as a meditation class and more as an immersive listening experience. Participants lie down while live frequencies created through singing bowls and other instruments wash through the room. There are no expectations, no performance, no right way to experience it. Just an invitation to pause. The concept for the evening comes from Inan Batman, who has brought people together through music for more than two decades. After years spent behind DJ booths around the world, he began asking a different question: What if sound wasn’t only something that brings people together at night, but also something that helps people reconnect with themselves? Sound Bath is the first expression of that idea. For Inan, it isn’t a departure from music, but an extension of it. The intention remains the same: creating spaces where people feel connected, only this time, the focus shifts from dancing together to simply being together. The session itself will be guided by Alyssa Cordes, whose practice focuses on creating restorative experiences through sound, presence and mindful facilitation. As with our Fräulein Dinners, this event is women only. Not because we believe conversations should be exclusive, but because we know how transformative it can be when women are simply allowed to exhale. No networking agenda. No pressure to perform. Just a room full of women meeting each other with curiosity rather than expectation – like spending an afternoon among friends you haven’t met yet. Afterwards, we’ll stay for drinks by Liquid Lab, letting conversations unfold naturally instead of rushing back into the city. The evening is supported by Hoop, a fitness and wellbeing brand that shares our belief that movement, recovery and community belong together. More than anything, this evening marks the beginning of something. We hope the first Fräulein Sound Bath becomes a recurring ritual – one that grows into a community of women who come together not because they have all the answers, but because they’re willing to make space for the questions. After all, maybe peace isn’t something you find. Maybe it’s something you practice. Read Next Ruby O.
