Seen by Fräulein #34

Too many headlines, too little time. That’s why "Seen by Fräulein" is our weekly edit of everything the Fräulein team has been talking about, obsessing over, or saving for later.

Dolce&Gabbana Through Meisel’s Lens

Dolce&Gabbana reunites with Steven Meisel for its Fall/Winter 2026 women’s campaign, continuing a creative relationship that dates back to 1989. This season, Meisel turns his lens to personality and the chemistry that emerges when different characters meet. Framed by familiar house codes of black, lace, sharp tailoring and Sicilian sensuality, the campaign places character at the centre, exploring identity through gestures, body language and attitude. The result feels distinctly Dolce&Gabbana: sensual, confident and unmistakably its own.

A Weekend for DYKE CULTURE*

The DYKE* Festival Berlin returns to ZK/U in Moabit on August 22 and 23, bringing together two days of sapphic culture and community. The programme moves between panel talks and workshops, film, fashion and exhibitions, alongside drag, comedy, live music, DJs and performances. Open to lesbians and queers of all genders, ages and backgrounds, as well as allies, the festival invites everyone to discover and celebrate the diversity of Dyke* culture together. Saturday is already fully booked, with a waiting list available via Eventbrite, while tickets for Sunday are still available.

DUALITY

Pilgrim’s EVON double rings turn a simple piece of jewellery into a study of form and balance. Part of the brand’s new Autumn collection, the silver and gold-plated rings curve across two fingers at once, creating a sculptural silhouette inspired by minimalist Nordic design. Bold without feeling excessive, the design plays with duality through its fluid shape and clean finish. An adjustable fit allows the ring to be worn in different ways, while its water-resistant construction is made from 99% recycled materials. Designed with an adjustable fit, the ring can be styled across different fingers, making the sculptural piece as versatile as it is striking.

SCENT OBJECTS

What happens when a perfume bottle is treated as an object in its own right? For Scenario 01, Milan-based fragrance brand TÈNUA looks beyond scent and towards the space it occupies. Smoked glass is paired with travertine and Canaletto walnut, giving the bottles an almost architectural quality. Alongside the new design, TÈNUA expands its fragrance collection from three to six scents with Silver Sage, Sabato and Indochine joining Golden Nepal, Java and Hammam. Rather than reinventing perfume entirely, Scenario 01 is a considered exercise in how fragrance, material and everyday objects can exist together.

Dressing on Instinct

For 16Arlington, getting dressed is an act of instinct rather than performance. Under Marco Capaldo, the 16Arlington woman is imagined with a quiet sense of certainty: confident in who she is, without feeling the need to explain it. The collection plays with contradictions between sex and intellect, masculinity and femininity, playfulness and severity, but never asks its wearer to choose between them. Instead, clothes become an extension of an already established identity. It is less about dressing to become someone and more about dressing as yourself.
