CELINE 14 – DANS PARIS

vor 2 years

The short film CELINE 14 – Dans Paris is a work of Hedi Slimane himself, showcasing two historical monuments of the French capital.

CELINE  shows the newly restored “salons d’apparat” of the Hôtel de La Marine, the historic 18th-century building on Place de la Concorde in Paris.

Traditionally used to present the royal collections and show off the excellence of the French fine arts visitors, often from overseas, the location carries enormous cultural importance. Balls and coronation ceremonies, for example of Napoleon and King Charles X, were held in the “salons d’apparat”, one of the compartments of the building. For Dans Paris, Hedi Slimane revealed for the first time the ephemeral architectural pavilion structure post-renovation and shows the most beautiful corners of the locations.
