THE EVIL EYE: Inside BOY London America SS27

“In a world obsessed with being seen, the greatest act of rebellion may be to disappear.”

For Spring/Summer 2027, BOY London America turns the runway into a dystopian vision of surveillance, power and protection.

THE EVIL EYE questions what it means to feel safe in a world where privacy is increasingly scarce and being seen can become a form of control.

Ancient cultures wore the eye to protect themselves from the evil, today, we willingly place ourselves under larger eyes. Social systems, governments, religions, technology: we trust them to protect us while we surrender pieces of ourselves at the same time.

Presented in Los Angeles and styled by former Fräulein Fashion Director SINA BRAETZ, the show brings the label’s punk sensibility into a world of institutional symbolism and retro-futuristic unease. Sharp tailoring meets sheer fabrics, floor-length silhouettes and deliberate layering, balancing structure with exposure. Straps, ties, suspenders and coverings evoke constraint, while graphic details, patches and hand-embellished pieces interrupt the uniformity.

Accessories take on a central role in the collection’s narrative. Bags, briefcases, button-adorned hats, gloves, chains, keys and protective trinkets function as both styling statements and talismans for an uncertain world. Subtle references and hidden details invite a closer look, extending the show’s theme of observation beyond the clothes themselves.

With THE EVIL EYE, BOY London America transforms the tension between protection and submission into a distinct visual language.

A collection rooted in punk rebellion, where the boundaries between uniform and self-expression, visibility and vulnerability, remain deliberately unresolved.
