WEEKEND MUSIC: BXKS SHARES NEW SINGLE

vor 3 years

The Northampton-based musician BXKS has returned with her new single named “Mean Amount”.

Following on from the release of her debut mixtape named ‘Full Time Daydreamer’, BXKS is showing no signs of slowing down! Further solidifying why she’s an artist to keep an eye out, her dexterous flows, refined pen game, and cold punchlines give her music the very own signature.

While the rap scene is still pretty much male-dominated, BXKS found her own niche and language, known for her clever and upfront wordplay. Her latest single Mean Amount fits smoothly into her own cross-genre and the experimental beats.

“The Mean Amount video was so fun to film, as it’s me performing around my local area. We shot in Dunstable just outside of Luton… I chose this area as it really captures what I’m saying in the video, which is me trying to make a better life for myself and escape my current situation. Each outfit change resembles some of the characters from Akira which is the inspo for the EP and single artwork”, so the artist.
