In 2022, Dries Van Noten launched his debut perfume collection, a series of ten gender-neutral fragrances. Rooted in the designer’s long-standing fascination with emotion and sensory memory, the scents were inspired by moments in his Antwerp garden and conceived as olfactory expressions of feeling rather than convention. Each perfume plays with contrast unexpected yet harmonious while the apothecary-like bottles echo the house codes through layered materials and tactile finishes. Rock the Myrrh captures the intimate mystique of Parisian boutiques and art-filled streets, exploring myrrh in all its richness. The composition opens with cypress and pink pepper, unfolds into a resinous myrrh and patchouli heart, and settles into a warm suede and benzoin base, creating a deep, slightly leathery warmth. Composed with 90% naturally derived ingredients, mirrored in a bottle that combines hand-painted ceramic with warm amber glass a reflection of the brand’s dialogue between craftsmanship and modernity, the fragrance balances mystery and elegance.
