BOTTEGA VENETA SPONSOR DAVID HOCKNEY’S LATEST EXHIBTION

Hockney spent lockdown in France with an iPad, here are the results…

Daniel Lee, the creative director of Bottega Veneta, has alway had a strong adoration for British painter David Hockney. “I feel such immense joy looking at his work. There’s such a vivid use of colour,” Lee mused last year as well as noting the duo’s kinship as both being Bradford natives. It should come as no surprise, then, that Bottega will be sponsoring Hockney’s latest exhibition David Hockney: The Arrival of Spring, Normandy, 2020 at the Royal Academy. While spent in lockdown in France, Hockney was able to produce 116 new iPad paintings for the show and has resulted in the exhibition. The exhibition “will be a reminder of the constant renewal and wonder of the natural world – and the beauty of spring” the show is presented nearly after a year Hockney produced the works that were first made. Bottega’s Hockney show will be open from Sunday (May 23) and goes until September 26 – see more info here.
