There are items that we like, and there are items that we love. There are items we collectively laugh over, bond over, swoon over, and there are definitely pieces we are singularly obsessed with. We have decided to dedicate a weekly declaration of love to particular fashion and beauty items that may not forever be iconic or relevant, but are currently making us feel some type of way. Enjoy the latest obsessions of our editorial team. Welcome to Fräulein’s Crush!
In our 8th installment, our graphic designer Noé Cassi is giving us his current obsession.
Noé is the quirky eccentric in the office who loves to tell stories and has the gift of the gab!
His stories about either weird dates he had or fun things he experienced in Berlin keeps the office busy. Therefore it’s no surprise that he shares yet another one of his stories in this article. Only him knows if there’s maybe more than one crush between the lines…
“It’s 10 am. I am waking up after a night with a date. It’s Sunday morning in Berlin. The birds are twittering and the sun is shining through the curtains like they don’t exist. My date finally extracts himself from under the blankets and heads toward the shower. I close my eyes and open them again to him standing in his room. He’s wearing nothing but a blue towel around his small waist, making him look like a mermaid. I ask him “What are you doing?” He replies “I don’t know what perfume to wear today.”
Taking a closer look at the shelf in front of him, I see a selection of elegant bottles with the words “Dyptique Paris” in a cameo-like crest. He takes a bottle of “Eau de Rose”, sprays almost a nothingness, and I’m intrigued. Why would he choose to wear this one today? Why not another one? What made him choose?
He just had almost described the entirety of his selection, not by scent necessarily, but by mood and emotion. I have already begun a Diptyque collection of my own, my own little luxury. What about you?
