This week’s most inspiring, comical, beautiful, strange, culturally relevant, or totally irrelevant highlights our editors found on Instagram this week:
INSTAGRAMS OF THE WEEK 03/07
One of my favourite accounts to go back in time and remember when adverts were fun and less PC. Today, everything seems mundane and same-y. – Sam Kavanagh, Digital Editor
Ghetoure! No more words needed! This is simply genius, created by this American designer from Oakland. – Sina Braetz, Fashion Director
A LARGE photo book on Maison Martin Margiela has been released called Charo. It is 180€ and did I mention that it is MASSIVE? Filled with beautiful imagery and editorials, this Instagram was once a showcase of all rare Margiela goods from an anonymous collector. But with this recent publication, the IG is now serving as a dedicated space of grittily scanned black and white pages from the book. Once you follow, I guarantee you will enjoy dressing yourself a little bit more each day… – Janna Shaw, Editor
This week was the birthday of our favorite royal from the ’90s: Princess Diana. We love and miss her. I am also looking forward to the film “Spencer” about her divorce with Princess Charles. The film will come to cinemas in 2022. – Olivier Mohrińge, Fashion Intern
If you are even in the slightest interested in shoes (and who isn’t?) you will soon be obsessed with this humorous gallery of feet shots. Get ready for a wild selection from walking Trump heads to actual leather artistry. – Ann-Kathrin Lietz, Editorial Staff
Okay, I have had a stressful week! My nose is typically in a book on the subway, but in the last few days, my nose has been up against my phone, giggling to myself behind a mask at all these animals. There are alpacas with enviable eyelashes! Dogs that look like Brits! Kittens cuddling dragons! I mean, come on!!! (The account is private, so you gotta trust us…). – Janna Shaw, Editor
My mornings are smooth with NTS. – Sam Kavanagh, Digital Editor
Amongst the tremendous issues America is dealing with right now, this might not be one of it but at least, it makes you laugh. Comedian @thefatjewish and @drinkbabe created a socially distanced „Rona-Free Mani Truck“, a glory hole for your hands to get your nails done in times of COVID-19. – Sina Braetz, Fashion Director
In the spirit of pride month, the internet seems to overflow with posts promoting gender acceptance and celebrating individuality. This video by Burberry and Riccardo Tisci is only one of them. I particularly liked this one though because of its authenticity and a great mix of featured talent. – Ann-Kathrin Lietz, Editorial Staff
