Instagrams of the Week 07/08

vor 4 years

This week’s most inspiring, comical, beautiful, strange, culturally relevant, or totally irrelevant highlights our editors found on Instagram this week:

Parisian fashion blogger Antoinette S is trying to make the 2000s happen again. Fashion-wise, let us call it an interesting choice… but as a person born at the end of the 90s, this aesthetic is reminiscent of my childhood and I cannot hate it, even if I otherwise should. This instagram account is full of funny collages to send to someone dear to your heart. Grab your favorite pair of low-waisted jeans, a rhinestoned tank-top and tons of colourful accessories to live the Paris Hilton experience.

I have found many wonderful photographers, stylists, and artists through the Link Management agency. At Fräulein, we use them frequently to garner inspiration or to find fresh talents: Thomas Hauser, Paul Kooiker, and many other incredible photographers (and colleagues!) are represented through Link. Follow what they’re up to- you will definitely find someone alluring…

Isabelle Wenzel is a photographer, artist, and trained acrobat. All of her work reflects this. If not using her own body, she is using her contortionist friends and performative models. What we experience is a topsy-turvy, playful mix of fashion and poses that make me start searching for Pilates studios near the office.

There are a lot of places that I would like to visit one day. The area where Ramona lives is definitely on the list. She seems to live in a vintage fairytale made of cottages, winding roads, dreamy castles and delicate flowers. I am not ashamed to say that I am a little jealous. Don’t search for me, I’m leaving for England.

Instagram added a new function call “Reels” this week, allowing its users to upload 15 seconds animated videos in a similar style as the application TikTok. Inspiring DJ Peggy Gou show us her motivation tricks via a mini series of Reels videos. We don’t know if this new support is gonna be a thing yet, but if people use it as Peggy Gou does- in an informational and supportive way- we should probably Gou for it.

Mushrooms are so beautiful. And I am not referring to the psychedelic trips some bring (though I have heard those are nice, too.) Tivoli Mushrooms is a micro mushroom farm about an hour north of Manhattan in the Hudson Valley. These mushrooms are presented as if they are bouquets. Present your next date with a lionsmane and you are sure to impress if not amuse. If not, dump him. And keep the mushroom.
